IN 1964, SARDAR HARNAM SINGH STARTED A BUSINESS FOR SELLING COOKED CHICKEN BY THE NAME ‘RED COM’ AT THE VERY FIRST OUTLET I.E. ADJOINING SOCIETY CINEMA, LUDHIANA (PUNJAB).
HIS RECIPES HAD THE REAL TASTE OF PUNJAB IN THEM. AS HE WAS VERY OLD, PEOPLE USED TO CALL HIM “BABA JI” (A RESPECTFUL WORD FOR ELDER MAN IN PUNJABI). THUS THE NAME “BABA CHICKEN” CAME IN LIGHTS. HE HAD A SPECIAL INVENTION AT THAT TIME WHICH WORLD KNOWS TODAY BY THE NAME OF TANDOORI CHICKEN & TANDOORI FISH.
